Actor Robbie Coltrane passes away at 72

Actor Robbie Coltrane passes away at 72. He played Rubeus Hagrid in all eight Harry Potter films.

Coltrane was born Anthony Robert McMillan on March 30, 1950, in Rutherglen, a suburb of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

Robbie Coltrane became famous as a hard-bitten detective in the 1990s series Cracker and he won the best actor at British Academy Television Awards.

Belinda Wright, Coltrane’s agent confirmed that he died on Friday at Scotland in Hospital but she did not confirmed the reason of death

He won Guinness Book of Records’ Award for winning three consecutive Best Actor Baftas for his portrayal of Fitz in Granada TV’s series Cracker in 1994/1995/and 1996 with Sir Michael Gambon.

Wright said Robbie Coltrane is survived by his sister Annie Rae, his ex-wife Rhona Gemmell and his children Spencer and Alice.
